HCS was founded with the idea of answering a fundamental question: "What is the best way of doing this as per Hinduism?"

The Agamas are the compendium of applied Hindu sciences. In Agamas, Paramashiva has given detailed instructions for doing almost each and every task that is required to be done in human life and achieving enlightenment while doing it. These are not just limited to worship, but also include various arts and sciences. When these instructions are followed, they give the best results, leading to ultimate liberation.

During the last century, institutions run by anti-Hindus and non-practicing Hindus have flooded the international market with inauthentic, adulterated, and fake Hindu products. Some of the consequences of these acts of forgery are limited to commercial gains to these institutions, but overall these spurious products are destroying the Hindu ecosystem and are harmful to the health, and spiritual well-being of the consumers. 

For the past twenty-six years, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism Jagat Guru Mahasannidhanam His Divine Holiness Bhagavan Sri Nithyananda Paramashivam, has been compiling guidelines and manuals containing the best practices as revealed by Paramashiva. This is how Hindu Standardization Body (HCS) evolved. It started with aspects of Hinduism like daily worship, Deity making, Yoga, cooking for Deities. Over the last 26 years, in alignment with Paramashiva's vision and instructions for humanity, HCS has developed a family of standards that cover everything from the kind of toothbrush which should be used each morning, to how a sovereign government must be structured for an enlightened civilization.

International Standards mean that practitioners of the Hindu lifestyle sciences can have confidence that they are heading on a safe, reliable, time-tested, superior path to experience living an enlightened life. Acharyas (Hindu Regulators), Hindu administrators, and governments count on HCS standards to help develop better regulation and ensure process integrity, knowing they have the most reliable source of compiled guidelines of Paramashiva, thanks to the involvement of practicing Agama experts.
